Human Mutants are usually people who possesses a genetic trait, called the X-gene. It allows them to produce superhuman powers and abilities. Human mutants, or simply mutants, are believed to be the progeny of Homo sapiens, and are considered to be the next stage in human evolution. This is evident in the scientific term for mutant, Homo sapien superior. This kind of species only exist in the Marvel Universe.
